Packaging, in-store display stands and logistics as a turnkey service

Rex is one of the world's leading ski wax manufacturers, which is also known for its bicycle products. The family-owned business has a long history – their first ski waxes entered the market as far back as 1952. Today, Rex’s products are used throughout the world by skiers and cyclists of all skill levels, from hobbyists to Olympic athletes. Grano makes sure that the company’s products are delivered to retail locations around the world efficiently and elegantly packaged.

Rex's products are sold everywhere from sports and cycling shops and department stores to well-stocked grocery shops. From their production facilities in Hartola, Finland, Rex products are delivered to all countries around the world where there are skiers. 

“We work closely with the national teams of different countries and engage in continuous testing and product development at the highest level,” says CEO of Oy Redox Ab Antti Peltonen. 

“Rex products are used in skiing competitions of all levels, all the way up to the Olympics. In the cycling segment, we also focus on high-quality chain lubricants and cleaners,” Antti continues. 

Focus on the core business

Grano has been supplying Rex with different types of cases, wax containers, labels and retail packaging for a long time. Recently, the partnership between the two companies also expanded to in-store display stands.

“Grano provides us with a comprehensive range of services to meet all of our print product needs. They are also a big help when it comes to graphic design. As a result, we are able to focus on our core business and concentrate our resources on what matters most, namely product development and manufacturing,” says Antti. 

Direct store deliveries exceeded expectations

The collaboration on in-store display stands started when Rex identified a need for various types of in-store display stands, especially ones designed to meet the needs of sports equipment shops. It was important for the finished stand to not only look impressive, but also make it easy to display a specific range of products. 

“We had some problems envisioning what the stand should be like. Luckily Grano provided us with great service – they prepared a prototype for us that made it easy to get the ball rolling,” Antti recalls. 

“In this display stand project, our expectations were exceeded by the fact that Grano was also able to provide the necessary logistics services. Delivering the stands to customers would have been a big challenge for us, but Grano offered to take care of it as a turnkey service,” Antti praises.

Having lasted for several years now, the partnership with Grano is very smooth and straightforward, according to Antti. Grano is able to provide Rex with prototypes quickly, which makes it easy to develop packaging solutions together, for example.
