The red trucks of Tokmanni became part of the stores with Grano’s help

Tokmanni's red trucks have now conquered over 200 Tokmanni stores after the company used Grano’s help to make trucks for product presentation. The impressive trucks are used as presentation tables for products, garnering the customers’ interest. They are also in line with the look and feel of Tokmanni’s brand. Grano's Liaison Manager Riitta Niemi explains how Tokmanni’s store trucks were made.

Fantastic result through good cooperation

It all began when Tokmanni contacted Grano, wanting to have a product that could be used for different product and store presentations. Riitta Niemi, Grano’s Liaison Manager, says that as soon as Tokmanni showed a green light to the truck idea, she started working on it with Grano’s structure team.

The structural design team quickly developed the idea into a prototype, which was sent to Tokmanni for a review and then to Grano’s production. Riitta praises the cooperation with Tokmanni as efficient and pleasant, as discussion with the company is effortless.

‘Working with them is always nice! We talk about things and come up with ideas together. Our goal was to produce the exact truck presented in the original idea,’ Riitta states.

The trucks travelled to over 200 stores all over Finland. They can be seen in the Tokmanni departments in various product displays.

‘Cooperation with Grano is easy, nice and creative. Grano has the ideas and skills to turn even the most specific ideas into a concrete solution. It has been a pleasure to breathe life into our Tokmanni truck creation together – and we even got this large, impressive element into all our Tokmanni stores within quite a tight schedule,’ says Marjo Saarela from Tokmanni.

Presentation table is a practical and impressive part of the store

The truck is light, and easy to assemble within the store. Riitta says that the truck is also a great platform table, as it can be expanded with additional pieces if necessary. The truck has a platform for setting up products, but more platforms can also be added as needed. The tallest version has three platform spaces, but the product can be made as long as desired – within the confines of the space available. If necessary, Grano will strengthen the structure if it needs to be longer.

‘We have plenty of options and we will take the customer’s needs into account all the way through,’ Riitta says.

Ideas are born all around

Grano is inspired by ideas and new ways of doing things. This was also evident in the design process of the Tokmanni trucks:

‘At Grano, we have a range of solutions available, but we can also develop the existing ones further, always based on the customer’s needs. That's our strength!’ Riitta says with a smile.

‘I find inspiration for my ideas on my travels, for example. There are so many wonderful designs all over the world, and these inspire me. I take photos of these on my travels so that I can later browse through them by my desk, seeking inspiration,’ Riitta states.
